Op de fiets langs de Waal

Fietsen langs de Waal
Van Tiel naar Millingen en terug

Visum nodig?

Andalusia

Andalusia
Visum nodig?

Andalusia, Spain
From Málaga we viewed a part of Andalusia.
In Málaga we visited the Alcazaba, the Castle of Gibralfaro (Castillo de Gibralfaro), the Cathedral of Málaga (Málaga Cathedral), the Picasso Museum, the bullfighting stadium (Plaza de toros de La Malagueta) and the Roman Theater of Málaga (Teatro Romano Málaga).
From Málaga we visited Frigiliana, Granada, Ronda, the Costa del Sol, the Torcal National Park (Torcal de Antequera) and the Montes de Málaga National Park (Parque Natural Montes de Málaga).
Ronda is a city in Andalusia. Ronda was built on top of a rock. The Moors built Ronda on the rock with the intention of defending themselves. Ronda is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Andalusia. For us, the new bridge, the old bridge and the bullfighting arena were the highlights.
El Torcal de Antequera is a unique natural landscape with beautiful rock formations. El Torcal de Antequera has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
Montes de Malaga is one of the many fascinating natural parks in Andalusia and it covers an area of approximately 5000 hectares. You can find this protected natural area just 5 kilometers north of the city of Malaga and it is considered the green part of this capital of the Costa del Sol. The park belongs for 96% to Malaga itself and the other parts belong to the cities of Casabermeja and Colmenar.
In Granada we of course visited the Alhambra. However, we started with a walk through the center of Granada. On the Paseo de los Tristes it was fun with Spanish musicians. By the way, we already had a nice view of the Alhambra from the Paseo de los Tristes.
We walked along the Capilla Real de Granada and through the Alcaicería to the beautiful Jardines del Generalife with the Palacio del Generalife.
In the Alhambra, we viewed the Palacio de Carlos V and the Alcazar de la Alhambra de Granada.

Königssee

Königssee

Königssee
We left for the Königssee a little before seven. We arrived there a little after 7:30. There was already a line at the cash register for the boat. With a distance of 1.5 m, a row is quickly very long nowadays. We bought tickets. It turned out that you just bought tickets for today, whether we could be on the first 8 o’clock boat depended on whether we were on time. The lady could not say how often the boats would sail. It wasn’t such a big boat either and with Corona we don’t expect that many people would be allowed on it. The boat eventually became quite full. Mouth caps on, though. We were the last 2 passengers to join, numbers 59 and 60. So just in time.

The boat trip took 35 minutes. A nice trip on the relatively narrow lake with steep cliffs. The Watzmann (2713 m), the highest mountain in Germany after the Zugspitze, unfortunately did not come completely from behind the clouds. The flight was interrupted twice. 1x to play the echo. That was really impressive with a trumpet. And a second time as a stopover at Bartolomä where you can make a walk. More than half of the people got out here. We got off at Salet, the end point. There started a 1.5 hour hike to the Röthbach waterfall, the largest in Germany. Initially you will start immediately with more than 25 people. But soon it blows apart and you imagine yourself together again. When we ate a sandwich at the waterfall, we saw a number of people arriving. We decided to go back before it got busy. And that’s what it was. At first we had oncoming traffic every now and then, but there were more and more. Towards the end of the walk there was a constant stream of oncoming traffic. This was no fun anymore. We just saw a boat leaving, but within 10 minutes the next one arrived. With another load of walkers. We sailed back with about 10 men. We didn’t feel like disembarking at Bartolomä anymore. It looked very busy there too. The gigantic parking lot at the Königssee was packed. We got into the camper and started on the Deutsche Alpenstrasse.
