Jasper Dog Sledding (December 2018)
On the 28th
December we drove to Cold Fire Creek, just over Valemont in British Columbia in
Canada. At Cold Fire Creek the dogs and sleds were ready to go for a dog
sledding tour. We had 8 Alaskan Huskies before our sled. The Alaskan Husky has
shorter hair than the Siberian Husky. It should be too warm in this environment
for the Siberian Husky. The huskies were all barking. There were 48 of them.
After a short instruction how to operate the dogsled we started the trail
through gorgeous scenery. As soon as the huskies ran they stopped barking.
However when the huskies stopped running, they started barking. Just after the turn halfway we had a BBQ
lunch. After the lunch the trail went down and back to Cold Fire Creek.
