At the Strong Viking obstacle run in Nijmegen you could run 7, 13, 19 or 42 km. At the 7 km run you had 25 obstacles on your way. The 13 km run counted 41 obstacles and the 19 km run counted 51 obstacles. For the 42 km or marathon you had to run the 7, 13 and 19 km tracks. In total there were 117 obstacles to take.
The 42 km of the Strong Viking is called the Iron Viking!
The Iron Viking in Nijmegen is called the toughest marathon in the World. I don’t know if this is true, however it was tough.
This was the ultimate obstacle run challenge of 2019! On the 30th of March 2019 the Iron Viking was hosted in Nijmegen. This mud edition of the Iron Viking, the toughest marathon in the World, counted beside the 42km and 117 obstacles several kilometers of muddy track.
The maximum running time of the Iron Viking was 7.5hrs!
